Regarding the statement made by the Maduro Regime during the Security Council Meeting on the Situation in Venezuela: the Government of Colombia rejects in the strongest terms the false accusations made by Mr. Samuel Moncada, representative from the dictatorial Maduro regime, regarding any supposed aggression made from Colombian territory into the Venezuelan territory.

Regarding the deceiving accusations of the usurper’s regime, Colombia reiterates, once again our determination to provide all the relevant information in the coming days to the Security Council related to the provision of humanitarian aid to the Venezuelan people on Saturday, February 23th, 2019.

It has become a common practice to hear the Maduro regime make unfounded accusations against Colombia without any grounds and to insist in providing misleading information about the events that occurred on Saturday, February 23 in the Colombian-Venezuelan border.
